Joining & First Spawn
The first time you join Survival you'll spawn with a small starter kit already in your inventory: enough basic tools and food to get moving without having to punch trees bare-handed. A guide will walk up to you near spawn and point out the important things: the Quick Menu, the shop, and how claiming land works.
You'll also be protected from other players for a short while after joining, so nobody can ambush you the moment you spawn in.
What to do first
- Press G to open the Quick Menu, that's your way into almost everything (see "The Quick Menu" below).
- Head out and gather some basic resources, or use the shop if you'd rather buy a head start.
- Claim your first patch of land before you build anything permanent, see "Claims / Land Protection".
